South Loughton v Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Indoor League Under 14 on Fri 19 Oct 2012 at 8.15pm
Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Lost by 4 wickets
Match report
Fives won the toss and elected to bat, with Daniel (captain) and Nasir opening. Scoring runs was difficult due to some very tight bowling from South Loughton. Daniel was unlucky to be caught out from the ball hitting the rafters for the second match running. Nasir following him shortly after being caught behind. Malveer and David were next, they formed a decent partnership with Malveer being retired at 25. Tejan was next in, but with less than two overs remaining was bowled whilst try to force a few extra runs. Tom was last in and saw out the innings with David. Fives finished the innings with South Loughton needing only 66 to win.
To their credit Fives bowled and fielded well. The first SL wicket fell to an excellent catch from Tom (bowled Malveer). David and Tom - playing his first indoor game for Fives - also taking a wicket each. SL won the match scoring 66 with 9 balls and 2 wickets remaining
