Match report
An enjoyable and close match which went to the penultimate ball of the last over. Fives lost and toss and were put into bat with Michael and Daniel opening. They formed a decent partnership of 32 before Daniel was caught for 19. Jack was next in scoring a quick 10 runs before being bowled in the 7th over. Henry, playing his first indoor game of the season came next, was quickly dismissed for 2 also being bowled. David followed scoring 3 runs before being run out. Last in was Ram scoring 2 with Michael almost seeing out the innings before being caught behind for 19 to a excellent catch from the Loughton WK. Our total left Loughton needing 76 to win. The match was finely poised going into the last over with Loughton needing 9 to win with 3 wickets remaining. Ram came on and bowled well, considering it was first over of the game, taking a wicket with a good catch coming from Henry. However, Loughton made the total, from a superbly struck six with only one
ball remaining.
