Match report Fives put in a mixed performance, good in parts, not so good in others. Ultimately the not so good bits put this game out of reach when it was there to be won. Having slipped to not a lot for two, Neil (out of retirment got the bug back) Brathwaite started slowly but greadually became more fluent as his innings progressed and batted well with Chalky in his solitary performance for the C team this year. We were 60 odd with a few overs to go and some quickly scampered runs by Keith and Neil (who returned from his early 25 and retired) got us up to 96 which is around a par score.
In reply, Fives shelled three catches which ultimately probably cost us the game as we failed to take early wickets. From 50 odd for 1 and cruising, not to be deterred Fives put themselves back in with a sniff by reducing ELE to needing 16 off the last two overs. However, the not so good part of our game returned and we sucumbed to a one wicket defeat in the last over in agame of what might have been
