Match report The Bs kicked off the year with another double header. Facing West Essex in the first match we lost the toss and were put into bat.
We started well and although Billy was caught on 15 our next 3 bats, Jack, Portia and Nick were all retired with Jack returning and finishing unbeaten on 43*, setting West Essex 126 to win.
Our bowling and fielding were really tight with both Fin and debutant Oli bowling good lengths with Oli taking the openers wicket to a catch for Nick.
West Essex were always behind the run rate although a late rally from the big hitting number 4 had us sweating late on. A couple of tight overs at the death saw the opposition fall short and the b's started the new year as they finished the last taking all 12 points.
