Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Won by 27 runs

Match report Fives B won a hard fought match without playing at their best . This was again due to the fact that they just kept applying themselves with the ball and in the field .
Losing the toss and batting first we made a slow start to some good standard pace bowling . Losing Rahul to a run out Peter got into his stride and was retired and Kish who batted well also made 25 . With 8 gone though we were a little behind a par score and Gary Norris tried to galvanise the team into posting a big total but we lost Steve doig , joe Samuel and a returning Kilpatrick quickly trying to do so and was left with Kish and norro to get us to halfway thru the 12th to 102 before our last wicket fell .
Not the best we've batted but defendable . Bardoli made a fine start running well and a couple of good sixes were around 38 of first 3 . Joe came on and as usual was able to slow their run rate down with a run out in his first and a wicket in the second adding in their captain , who batted well , making a suicidal run , we were now firmly back on top although had to bowl them out .
This happened due to the team really turning the screw taking every opportunity . A great catch by doig , superb run out by keeper Norris , fine bowling from the young brigade of samuel , kilpatrick and rahul and finally a solid catch by skipper kishen who had a super game .
Bardoli all out for 75 . We now have promotion in our own hands with our last game on march 2nd v Roding Valley A .
