Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Won by 77 runs

Match report Fives U13 team comfortably moved on in their Peter Coe cup group by beating Hutton cc by 77 runs .
Winning the toss the opening pair soon found it was probably the wrong call to bat with overhead conditions suiting seam bowling and a pitch cracking up favouring spin , Hutton made full use .
Fives lost two early wickets but the middle order battled to take our score from 27 for 2 to 165 for 4 with a solid 47 from stone and fair contributions by Buttleman , Kelsey and Cayir .
It was quite strange to see three of our star bats all stumped of wide balls from a spinner , maybe something to work on !
Unfortunately we were then subject to a collapse with the last six wickets falling for 1 run including a hat trick from Huttons opening bowler Scamall .

Chasing 167 to win Hutton came up against our formidable opening bowling attack which is now enhanced by buttlemans ability to stand up as keeper . William claimed a stumping off Kelsey's first ball of the innings and then Tom and Harry bowled superbly to leave Hutton 20 for 4 after 10 overs . Samuel clean bowling the other Hutton opener and then claimed 4 and 5 lbw for ducks to take 3 wickets and despite a decent 5th wicket partnership fives remained in full control with Omar Cayir bowling out the tail ( 3 wickets ) in his 2 overs fives bowled Hutton out for 89 .
