Match report The b's finished off their season with yet another double header and certainly went out with a bang.
Having won the toss captain Portia elected to bat. The top order again impressed with our first 3 retiring. Portia was looking to be the fourth before being given what must have been a very close LBW on 15. Finley and George both kicked on with George run out for 10 on an impressive b's debut. A very strong all round performance posting 139.
Wanstead certainly took the game to us and although we got an early run out they managed to hit the back wall reguarly enough to stay in touch.
A special mention to Finley who bowled really well including a maiden, rare in youth indoor cricket.
We looked to be in control with some tight fielding, 3 run outs to the keeper and Jack taking a catch from Portia, but unfortunately couldnt shift the last batsman.
We must have come very close on at least two occasions with square leg giving the batsman the benefit of doubt on some fantastic bowling and glove work.(stone cold!!).
With Charles stepping up for the final over the game was still in the balance, it came down to Wanstead needing 6 from the last ball to draw. Fair play to the batsman and Wanstead a big shot and a big finish giving us our first draw of the season. 278 runs and 7 wickets, great entertainment.
