Match report A great game to watch for the neutral and/or if you were a Harlow player or supporter but we managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

A mutual agreement allowed us to insert Harlow and they were soon reduced to 88 for 8 thanks to another great spell of spin bowling from Andrew Coleman whilst being abely supported from the other end by Shoab Iqbal in his opening spell and Rahul Bhome bowling some wiley offspin. Andrew finished with figures of 22.2-4-68-6

The Harlow tail wagged and saw them to 142 all out but it would have been alot less as the opposition umpire failed to give 3 very close LBW decisions.

We made hard work of what should have been an easy total to knock off by failing to read the pitch properly and not getting forward on a low, slow wicket. This resulted in 5 of our batters getting bowled and the rest playing loose shots in trying to accelerate the scoring rate.

Special mention goes to Sikki for a fantastic maiden knock of 46 during which he never looked in trouble and another fighting knock of 29 from Phil Apps before commiting the cardinal sin of going back on the Harlow track.

The final wicket fell with the scores level which only gave us 8 of the 13 points we needed to ensure promotion.
