Match report Benfleet elected to bat first on a wicket that was hard for batting through out. All the bowlers bowled well including Mohsin 5-27 and the fielding was top notch with young Alex Kie taking a good catch early on. Benfleet scored 131 off 42 overs.

In reply F&H were soon in trouble at 17 for 3. Young Alex Mc Kie then scored a useful 20 as F&H tried to hit there way out of trouble, however at 57 for 5 Benfleet looked well in command. The key partnership was between the skipper and vice skipper as the score moved to 97 battling against accurate bowling. The game still had further twist and turns though. Young James Sibley who scored 1 run but more importantly stayed at the wicket for 33 balls as we edged ever closer. Then with 2 runs required to win, the skipper was suddenly out leaving the pairing of Mohsin and Maddo to score the vital 2 runs in a very tense encounter. It took 59 overs to score the 132 required so full marks to Benfleet for making it so hard.
