Match report F&HCC won the toss and asked Upminster to bat. The ball swung around early on and there was lots of playing and missing. However 72 runs for no wicket after 18 overs in the 1st hour meant that we now had to defend, when it could of so easily been 40 for 3. Some lusty blows from the middle order enabled U's to amass 235. I would recommend to ALL the bowlers and the fielders to consider how they can improve on their personal performances for next week. There are a number of good sides in this division.

In reply, Yaz batted positively to score 75 which put us in a strong position. However, the loss of 3 quick wickets meant that we needed 105 runs in the last hour. The loss of Steve Poulter was then the turning point as we struggled to score the 6 runs of over required. In the end we ended up 20 runs short. Full credit to the U's bowling and fielding, they fully deserved the winning draw.
