Match report Benfleet won the toss and elected to field. At 40 for 1 off 9 overs we achieved the ideal start. However, the next 15 overs saw some very tight bowling and fielding. At 72 for 2 after 24 overs the game was finely poised. Nick Tester then took the match by the scruff of the neck and enabled the 3rd wicket partnership to move on to 142. His 115 incl. 3 x 6s and 17 x 4s was a quality knock. Steve Greene's 31* was equally valuable. Once we scored 200 we declared given the potential for rain / showers.

In reply Benfleet struggled. At 16 for 4 they were on the back foot. In the end some excellent catches and some good old fashioned straight bowling saw us home with overs to spare.
