Match report F&HCC won the toss and elected to bat first on a very damp wicket after all the rain that had fallen during the week. The bounce of the wicket was consistent albeit very slow. Yaz enabled us to achieve a reasonable start but was out trying to drive the ball. The key partnership was the one between the skipper and Nick Tester - 60 runs. It was a case of either running quick singles or hitting over the top in to the gaps. Nick then took the game by the scruff of the neck and hit out enabling us to declare at 204-4 at 2.59 after 39 overs.

In reply the Hornchurch innings was the Mohsin show as he took the first 7 wickets. Mohsin was helped by some good catches - one of his own plus Jack Jerrom at 2nd slip. It was then left to Uncle Yaz and Derek to complete the job off 31.4 overs. A professional performance.
