Match report Billericay elected to bat first on a track that looked ideal for runs.The main danger was A Saitch who was looking to hit the bowling all around the ground. Chris then managed to persuade him to lob a catch to Mid On. All the bowlers bowled well and continued to tie Billericay down. With Billericay entering the final over at 171 for 9, 175 looked the likely target however Derek proceeded to bowl a maiden over!

In reply we were soon in trouble at 6 for 2. A solid 3rd wicket partnership developed between the skipper and Nick Tester that added 48. However, a collapse followed that meant that the score moved from 54 for 2 to 82 for 6. We entered the last hour at 88 for 6. The 7th wicket partnership between Uriel (top scorer with 30) and Steve Greene of 48 runs was key. It enabled us to believe that we had a chance of victory. However Uriel was unlucky to be caught off the Wicket Keeper's shoulder ! At 130 for 7 the match was finely poised. Vinay then came to the wicket without a care in the world and with Steve Greene (18*) took us to victory with over 5 overs to spare. An excellent team performance in what was a nail biting encouter.
