Match report A decent work out for everyone in what ended up being an interesting, close game.

Hertford won the toss and bowled first (starting with 9 men!)

Terry Ballard made batting look easy early on, smacking a rapid 72 to all parts of the Paddock. Not bad for someone who flew back from New York through the previous night. Jake Poulter looked good for 27 but noone else in the Fives side could muster many runs at all between them, and a classic Fives collapse ensued. Fives were all out for 132 after 29 overs having been 92-1 off 11 overs!

Hertford started slowly with the bat and Fives began to pick up wickets and turn the screw. Jonny Kay, Jack Jerrom, James Sibley and Stuart Knapman proved difficult to get away and Hertford were struggling massively at 41-7. Their tail batted slowly and sensibly and they clawed their way back into the game. However Rahul Bhome, Ashish Gandhi and Jake Poulter didn't allow them to get away from Fives and in the end Hertford were bowled out 12 runs short of victory.
