Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Won by 40 runs

Match report The B's kicked off their season on a clear sunny but very dewey morning. Having lost the toss it was no suprise that West Essex put us in to bat first.

Joint captain George put in a fine display eventually being bowled (dubious umpiring decision over the bowlers front foot, sorry George), on 18.
Both Jack and Charles quickly moved the score on with some great cameos from some Fives debutants - Yugi, Nathan, Matthew, Zain and a couple of our younger players, Nyle and Adam, posting a competitive 116-4.

The West Essex run chase didn't start too well with an early run out from Matthew who, along with Charles, opened the bowling keeping the score down as did Nyle coming in first change.
Although not scoring very quickly West Essex wern't losing wickets until Nathan and Joseph bowled no.s 4 and 6, Zain and Charles also picked up wickets leaving West Essex on 76-6 from their 20 overs.
A great start to the season, most impressive was our intensity when we started to field, if we keep that up I'm sure it will be a successul season.
