Match report The b's cup campaign didnt get off to the best of starts with a tough draw away to South Woodford. We lost the toss and were asked to bowl on a damp early season wicket.

Tight early bowling kept the score down over the first few overs with the Kawaja brothers both registering maidens and in Adams case a wicket maiden prizing their opener out with a great catch by Zayan at cover. Mathew cleaned up Souths number 4 in a spell where the opposition offered another couple of catches. A fantastic direct hit run out from the pick of the fielders Zayan lifted a flagging field inspiring first Nyle to bowl Souths dangerous looking 6 and then Finley to bag two in the last over bowling line and length, South Woodford finishing on 136-5.

With a big score on the board our batsman looked a little unsure on how to go about the run chase. George put up some stubborn resistance but also looked to score over the top to a close tight field. Wickets tumbled and a couple of run outs (never listen to your dad Fin!) had us under the kosh and although there were a couple of noteable cameos from both Nyle and Yuge we fell well short on 53 all out.

A tough initiation to cup cricket facing one of the stronger local sides who showed us the way bowling consistant line and length.If we look to emulate this and can get back to the spirit we showed in the field late on and last week we will compete a lot better.
