Match report The Bs hosted Woodford Green at the whitbreads in what turned out to be a bit of a run fest for both teams.
Having won the toss Woodford elected to bat first and were very quickly one down as Finley trapped their opener lbw for 2, full on the back leg dead plumb!
Charles then took the first of his two runouts with an excellent direct hit from short mid wicket.
Woodfords batsmen all looked impressive with their no 2 retired on 32 and his replacment going along nicely before Nathan came onto bowl a fantastic spell, with an lbw and a clean bowled in the book finishing with figures of 3-1-9-2, well bowled.
With Charles second run out to the final ball Woodford posted a daunting 150-5 from their 20.
Our opening pair layed down the perfect platform with George hitting a quickfire 22 and Billy back in the hutch retired on 31, Nick pushed the score ever onwards before being run out on 28 pushing for the second.
Having pretty much kept on the run rate we needed to hold our nerve over the lst few overs.
Woodfords opening bowler and captain came back bowling serious wheels for the final over, it looked as though we were to fall at the last as he picked up Joes wicket with a ball to go.
Needing 2 to win Alex played a brilliant late cut over slip to seal the win with a 4.
Excellent effort all round and a great run chase.Over 300 runs and great entertainment, what more could you ask for on a Sunday morning?
