Match report
The 13s recorded their first win of the season with a much improved performance against Frenford.
Bowling first our lines were a lot tighter than our last outing.
Frenford were eager to take their runs and we nearly forced a run out of the first ball. Our fielding was much better with a notable performance from Fin at square leg.
We do however need to tighten up further and put more pressure on the batsman running 3s.
2 wickets for Joe (and a very nonchalant catch), Viraj and Charles saw Frenford out for 87.
With the managers words of wisdom of not worrying about the big shots and looking for 3s, Billy duly dispatched the first ball of our reply for 6 as he and George took 17 off the first over.
To be fair the balls were there to hit.
Both soon retired , Joe came and went and Charles and Viraj saw us home with a couple of overs to spare. They had conspired to run each other out, not with bad running but the by easy bit of calling each other through.
A few things to work on but all round a good performance and 12 points on the board.
