Woodford Wells A v Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Indoor League Under 13 on Fri 14 Feb 2014 at 20:15
Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Lost by 1 wkt

Match report Batting first we made heavy work of our innings.
Although we only lost 3 wickets we struggled to put away what to be fair was accurate and at times quick bowling from the Wells.
Both Billy and Charles were retired. Bill returned and with Finley, the pair put on valuable runs at the death to push us to a competitive 97.
In reply Wells struggled as all of our bowlers kept tight lines allowing us the luxury of setting attacking fields for the first time this season.
Unfortunatley 97 wasn’t to prove enough and Wells snatched victory in the last over dispatching a rare loose ball for 6.
Although the result was dissapointing the spirit and fight the boys showed was fantastic.
We really worked hard for each other in the field, supported our bowlers who in turn kept the pressure on with accurate bowling. A special mention to Joe who’s line and length were spot on and set the standard for the rest to follow.
For these reasons this was for me our best performance of the season, with so many positives which if we can take outdoors will make us a competitive team for the summer.
