Match report A game where the weather and the opposition captain played Fives out of the game.

The skipper actualloy won a toss this season and asked the oppo to bat 1st on a tasty wicket. The Fives bowlers responded with a tight opening spell but the heavens opened after half an hour and kept us off of the field for 2 hours!

We went back onto the pitch and bowled our over like there was no tomorrow! We eventually managed to bowl out Harlow after 50.1 overs for 164 at 5.36pm.
Particular mention goes to the old campaigner Rob Allum who bowled like an absolute legend and the youngest person on the pitch Rehan Iqbal who bolwed great areas in his first game back!

A shuffle in the batting order saw Nick Rotsay open the batting all guns blazing and it almost payed off! We got 23 overs back from Harlow and needed 8 runs per over for the whole 23 overs.

Glenn Jackson supporting Nick abley but unfortunately a late flurry of wickets left us with a little too much to too at the end.

We finished on 148 for 4 with Nick getting 74 and Jacko finishing wih 42 n.o. but we all felt hard done by by the oppo as a more sporting declaration may have made for a closer game.
