Match report The under 15's second outing of the season ended in a narrow defeat with our opponents winning the match in the final over. On a slow wicket with a damp lush outfield we won the toss and elected to bat first. A couple of good knocks from Michael Batt and Tom Kelsey helped post a total of 112, but with no other batsman getting into double figures our score was 10 runs or so off par.

In reply despite some good bowling notably from Viraj Gandhi, Newham kept pace with the required run rate. We were unable to take early wickets which allowed their batsmen to play freely and with a couple of dropped catches not helping our efforts they managed to hit the winning runs in the last over.
