Match report Springfield won the toss and elected to field. Fives faced a competent attack with a batting line up weakened by absence due to injury and U15 call-up. With the loss of 4 wickets in the first 6 overs, only Cody Cummings in the middle order made it to double figures (19), while wickets continued to fall to LBW and run-out appeals. Fives all out for a disappointing 49 in 11.5 overs
Despite very economical bowling from Niall, Danny and Cody, and the teams tightest fielding so far this season, the total proved too low to defend. Springfield reached 50 for 3 scoring at precisely the same run rate. It is also noteworthy that Fives conceded just a single bye. Well done to Harry who also took the field with a limp.
