Match report A Good Win for the 3rd XI on really hot day with only 10 men

Old Southendians batted first and generously declared on 255 for 5 wickets A.Ilyas applied the early pressure with a tight opening spell with R.Allum at the other end hooping the ball past the outside of the bat to many times to mention.

In return Fives score 259 for 7 a good start from R.Qureshi and R.Allum put us in a good position, R.Allum an N.Canacott kicked on and got us close to the required total, some lusty blows from S.Adcock and a few quick wickets made for a very entertaining end to the match, thankfully R.Allum hit the winning runs but ended up 6 short of his century.
