Match report Things went much better this week. We won the toss and batted on an excellent wicket at Forest School. After a brisk start we lost three quick wickets and needed to rebuild. If was the tall and the short who did the trick - the aging captain and young Billy Amas, who required the bowlers to adjust their length after each single. Billy batted with great maturity making fis first League 50 and putting on a stand of 105. The lower order fell away somewhat but we still managed to reach 200 for the first time this season.

We welcomed back Jack Jerrom after a lengthy lay off and he provided very entertainong cricket mixing a couple of searing yorkers with what can best be described as Fast and Furious 2, including one beamer which arrived at shoulder height to the keeper. Leonard bowled very tidily at the other end but after that we lacked a certain amount of control and although wickets fell regularly Wickford scrapd hom with the aid of a couple of dropped catches. A haul of 11 bonus points was some consolation.
