Match report Fives won the toss and chose to bat on a cloudy, windy afternoon. Rohan got off to a brisk start while George carefully played himself in against a decent attack. At drinks we had progressed to 87 for 1 off 23 - a good start but time to accelerate! Charles perished as we pressed on but George blossomed and went past his maiden 50 to reach an excellent 93. Nick Canacott started carefully but opened the taps as he got played in, and moved rapidly to an elegant 62.

Excellent opening spells by Ijaz and Sherwin were doggedly resisted by Rob Allum (F&H stalwart) and Tom Kerr, once one of our Colts, after a truly blinding gully catch by Nich Canacott removed one opener. Regular bowing changes allowed Fives to chip away at one end while Tom progressed impressively to 76 before falling to an excellent Neary catch on the long on boundary. The return of the opening bowlers then swiftly wrapped up the tail aided by Lou Poulter's superb catch over her shoulder while running away from the bat. All in all, a good team effort with everyone contributing.
