Match report A fantastic performance from all the team on Wednesday, saw Fives overcome a decent Loughton side. All the bowlers bowled a great line and length and backed up by the fielders kept Loughton to 7 an over for the first 7 overs, which was fantastic, considering we only had 9 players due to cry offs etc. We managed to get a couple of the younger colts to turn up and field for us after about 9 overs which was very much appreciated. Loughton posted a decent score of 165 from their 20 overs. The great spirit shown in the field carried on to the batting. A mixture of hard hitting and good running which pressurized the opposition into making mistakes saw Fives home with 3 balls to spare. Hugo and Michael Batt both batted superbly retiring on 50 backed up by Jake and Pete Kilpatrick. The team spirit was what got this side through a game really enjoyed by all who played, and all who watched. Things are looking good for the under 19's, and with players being available Fives could go a long way in this comp. Well done to all of the players
