Match report We lost the toss on a hot sunny day and were asked to bat forst on an absolute road of a wicket at H&C.

We got off to a flying start and at 150 for 1, we threatened to get 300+ but that failed to materialise as in true Fives Fashion we had a batting collapse. Some good batting from Amrit at the end saw us reach 227 at the end of our allotted 52 overs.

H&C got off to a flyer as well and at drinks, they were poised to win comfortably needing 100 from the last 20 overs ona road, with a lightning outfield, with 9 wickets in hand.

What emerged after drinks though was a fired up Fives side, in particular Rehan and Amrit, both of whom bowled awsomely and a fantastic team fielding performance! The pressure paid proved too much for the oppo and resulted in 3 runouts! two wickets in 2 balls from the skipper then made things even toghter with the oppo needing 30 from the last 5 overs, only for numbers 9 and 10 to start blocking out for the draw.

We tried hard to win and almost snatched victory from the jawns of defeat, but a creditable draw which certainly gave us a moral victory.

We need to carry on playing like this if we want to stay in the chase for the championship!
