Match report Poor day all round really...
Won the toss and chose to bat on what looked like a flat and dry pitch but it turned out to be a bad decision as the bounce was slow and the outfield was even slower. Started well with a flourish from Pete Harris, but the middle overs cost us dear with a loss of cheap wickets. This was somewhat rectified by Hammad Barbar and Waqas who batted really well and got us to a competitive total. With a slightly weakened attack we took 2 early wickets but some abysmal catching and offensive umpiring decisions let their number 3 and 4 score far more runs than they deserved. We did get one LBW howerver, but this was more out of guilt from previous poor decisions. On the day if we had batted second and could catch then it would have been a far closer affair. I think some fielding practice before games would be a good idea!
