Scorecard

Hadleigh and Thundersley v Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Saturday 3rd XI on Sat 06 Sep 2008 at 1.00
Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Won By 181 Runs

Match report A great and must win match for Fives. Fives went with options to bat or bowl first. Lost the toss and put to bat. Fives targeted 200 runs on a rain threatened day where must win match for opponents as well as fives.
Anthony Palmer played a key role with polished 105 where Saul and Hammed supported the team to reach 245 for 8 and declared.
Opponents were tumbled by best bowling and supported by best fielding. Only 2 bowlers were used Fives bowled the opponents out in 19.3 Overs. Roger rooted the early wickets with inswing (10-0-35-6) while Waqas cleaned the tail with off cutters (9.3-2-29-4). A diving catch by Saul to remove Baker (1st team player?) was phenomenal and sealed a well deserved win and well deserve promotion.

Great to be back in premiership and I am sure we will do well in premiership.

It wouldn’t be completed if I donot mention the best youngsters Chris C, Jack J, A Banerjee and J Lloyd. Great future ahead for you guys.

Lets bash with 3rd XI Curry night. I will send a separate email to all 3rd XI’s.
