Match report Chingford won the toss and elected to field first. The wicket was very wet and parts of the outfield had water lying on the surface (hence the boundary was brought in). We had a good start reaching 32 for 1 off the 1st 10 overs. The skipper was unlucky to fall to catch which the fielder seemed to know nothing about. Saul batted steadily through out and at 108 for 3 after 29 overs we looked in a strong position. However, a middle order collapse followed leaving us at 147 for 8 after 43 overs. Uriel and Vikram then dug in as we had to bat out the 52 overs. However at 160 for 9 with 6 overs remaining it was going to be tough. A 10th wicket stand of 25 runs incl. some vital blows from Vikram let us to the relative safety of 184 off 51.5 (well done the tail)

In reply, Chingford struggled early to get the ball off the square due to some vbery tight bowling from Vikram 1-33 off 11 overs and Mohsin again the pick of the bowlers 1 for 45 off 20 overs (Yaz your son is a star). The arrival of an overseas player soon changed proceedings as Chingford started to move ever closer to our score. It was about 144 for 2 with 7 overs remaining when the South African, from a higher XI, was out then it was game on. Some excellent bowling in the final few overs supported by some good fielding enabled us to achieve a well earned draw. Well done lads a good performance against a quality batsman.
