Match report We won the toss and elected to field on the basis that there had been rain in the morning. The opening spell was lively but Upminister batted well losing only one wicket in the first 10 overs. We restricted Upminster in the first 35 overs very effectively with Uncle Yaz bowling in to the wind well earning 4-56. However, the last 15 overs saw Upminster accelerate through to 239 for 5, a very large total for us to chase.

In reply the wicket started to deteriorate as it had now dried out with the top going. Clearly more water had been required during the week but unfortunately the school had had a cricket week all week which made the difference. In the end we were bowled out in 38.2 overs with the top scorer getting 22. A disappointing effort all round but anyway now history.
