Match report Fives opening partnership of 41 in half an hour was broken when the aged Rotsey greatly over-estimated his speed between the wickets and was done by a direct hit on one stump. After the senior Campbell's early departure, a welcome return to form by Uriel supported by the Commander (slowly) and Jag (vigorously) got us to 164-7 and causing concerns over reaching the 200. A classy knock by young Nikhil showing maturity beyond his 12 years not only got us past the 200 but saw us to a total of 214, slightly below par on a fast scoring ground. Moshin, forwarned of an impending lengthy spell, duly consumed enormous helpings at tea time. Thus fortified he bowled unchanged for 22 overs conceding only 52 while three times as many came from the 22 overs bowled at the other end where all the bowlers took punishment during a high class second wicket stand of 99 in 14 overs. With the game still wide open, Jag came on with his crafty offbreaks taking two wickets in his second over and conceding only 14 from his first 4 to tip the balance in Fives' favour. Unfortunately the last two could not be prised out but the resulting draw was worth 11 points to consolidate our position in the League.
