Match report Fives won the toss and batted on a dry track at the Peter May Centre. The skipper and young Robbie Sheehan opened against some brisk bouncers from one end and slow-medium left arm swing at the other. After Robbie was bowled by a swinging yorker, Chris Campbell, deputinsing for his Dad at the last minute took the score to 67 in the 14th over when a rush of blood to the aging head of the skipper undid some good work. The two 12 year olds, Jake and James, both batted well in support of Chris but both fell for 17 after promising starts and with Chris falling for a well made 49, it was left to Jag in his second game in 13 years to rediscover the talent of his youth and see the side past 200 with a fine 41 not out.

A good opening spell by Michael and Chris was followed by tidy bowling from james Sibley and interesting leggers fro Irfan with both collecting two wickets. The usually dependable Bob had a rare ineffective day and it was left to Chris in his second spell to grab three wickets and give Fives a rweal chance of snatching a win. In the end the coolness of Chingford's 11 year old under pressure brought them a win by two wickets with just one ball to spare - an excellent game of cricket played in a good spirit.
