Match report West Essex won the toss and to our surprise decided to bat. Aqeel took a wicket with the first ball of the game and from then on the opposition were on the back foot. Rob Allum rolled back the years and opened from the other end. The fielding practice paid off as we held all but one of our catches and bowled the opposition out for 117 with Aqeel taking 3-28, Hammad 2-17, Tanzeel 2-25, and Steve Doig 2-6. We were confident we could reach their target but losing Sam early doors put us under pressure. To West Essex credit they continued to bowl in the rain. Mathar Saeed stayed patient ending on 26 not out,Steve Doig 30, Rowan 16 and Nick Canacott 25 not out meant we won the game in the 35th over claiming our second win of this league campaign.
