Match report Having won the toss we fielded. Hammad and Uzair opened up and kept it tight. Hammed picked up an early wicket. From then on it was hard work but we were keeping the opposition below 4 an over on what was a good batting track. Tanzeel and Imran bowled well. Rob Allum came on and took 3 wickets for 36 in his 9 over spell. At 39 overs they were 160 for 4. Unfortunately they scored 74 off the last 6 and ended 234 for 5! In reply we started slowly and Charles was out caught for 2. Tanzeel went without scoring. Hammed came in as he had to leave early and he and Rohan steadied the ship. Hammad out for 30, Aqeel without scoring. In came Simran who was nursing an injury and after a steady start began opening up as we were now well behind the run rate. Rohan was out for 32. Nick joined Simran, both striking the ball well. As we closed on the 234 target Nick ran out of steam and was run out for 41. Rob was out for 2. I joined Simran with 3.3 overs to go and 44 required. We fell short by 14 runs. Simran who was making his 2nd team deput ended 77 not out and myself 14 not out. Although a loss a good team effort. Steve Adcock
