Match report Nick won the toss and chose to bowl first. The two Leigh openers looked to exploit the short boundary on one side and got off to a good start. However Aqeel struck early to remove their opener for 10. Shortly afterwards Babar removed their other opener after he hit one straight up in the air trying to work it to the leg side. A good catch taken by Sam Adcock. However from this point onwards bowlers failed to find their lengths resulting in boundaries coming at regular intervals. There was also some wayward bowling with fives racking up 30 wides in total across the innings. Hammad returned to remove their number 3, 4, and 5 and was probably the pick of the bowlers in the first innings. Ross was also able to grab a wicket late on. Leigh posted 264-6 from their 45.

Fives started their chase well with Doig and Adcock rotating the strike whilst adding the boundaries. Doig fell for 25 however this didn't slow the scoring rate with fives 93-1 off 12 at one stage. With Michael falling for 17 and OJ for 12 the run chase began to stutter. Adcock passed 50 but wickets continued to tumble in the middle overs. Adcock continued to make use of the short boundary but eventually fell for 87. Hammad scored a quick fire 20 and Aqeel finished on 25 no but fives were eventually bowled out 20 runs short of the required total.
