Match report What a betting strip!! Good pace and bounce in the pitch, lightning quick outfield, short boundary and slope towards the short boundary ... these were the ingredients which produced one of the best batting displays in a log time for 3rd team. 300 in 42.5 overs with just 3 wickets down. Top 3 batsmen all passed 50. Special mention goes to Haider for stepping up and opening the batting in the absence of the regular opener at the last minute and to Simran who looks better every time he comes out to bat. Very happy with the batting performance in the first game of the season!
Walthamstow also played well, and made 255 for 4 in 45 overs. We bowled well, created chances but pitch was so true that it was difficult to get all the wickets in the 45 overs.
Overall, although a draw but a very good game and a morale booster after so a dismal last year with the bat. Lets hope we continue with the same way through out the season!
