Match report Disappointing end to a very good game! Although it was a draw, but we had a very good chance of winning it. Opposition scored 249 for 8 in 50 overs thanks to some sloppy fielding and bowling as they should not have scored more than 220. Pitch had something for both batsmen and bowlers. We started very strongly and at one stage were 170 odd for one in 33 overs and both batsmen going strong and it seemed all set for a good win. However, some bad shot selection made us lose quick wickets and we could not reach the target. Again top order batted well with Haider again contributing solidly at his usual number 3 position and openers also had a good opening partnership.
However, with all the disappointment, the signs are very encouraging at the start of the season and we are hoping for an excellent season ahead. Good job all, we are a good bunch and can win a lot of games with a bit more application.
