Match report A very dismal performance today by the team. No one could bat of bowl satisfactorily except for Shahrukh. We won the toss and on hot day, where the pitch looked good to bat we decided to bat first also taking into consideration the fact that there were only 9 of us when the match started so it made sense to bat first. However, no one could stay long enough on the crease and build a partnership. We were 87 for 3 in 23 overs and got all out for 116 in 33.1 overs. Shahrukh top scored with 45. Defending a small target, we needed to bowl a tight line and get early wickets and this seemed possible as the pitch was not easy to bat. We got an early wicket but kept leaking runs on the other end and could not hold our catches and the result is that the opposition ran away with the game in a matter of 15.3 overs. We need to start playing better quality cricket and be consistent so that we can avoid being relegated.
