Fives and Heronians Cricket Club Won by 101 runs

Match report F&H won the toss and batted on decent strip. Yaz and Uriel got us off to a reasonable start, although the calling and running between the wickets left something to be desired. Henry Pratt, playing in his first League game, batted with great composure putting on over 100 with Uriel. There was then a middle order collapse, halted by a lively cameo from Mikey who was mostly dealing in fours. Uriel reached his first ton for the club just before the end. It was basically a chanceless innings and bodes well for the rest of the season. The last wicket fell in the 43rd over chasing quick runs which left us 41 overs to press for a result. GPR set off at a great rate with nearly 80 on the board in 10 overs. The introduction Henry and Uncle Yaz brought the innings to an almost total stop as both bowled with remarkable acuracy and economy. Wickets started to fall but the GPR middle order shut up shop very quickly from what was still a winning position. It took the introduction of Jai's unusual and unpredictable left arm twirlers to tempt a few out, with Uncle Yax returning to claim the final wicket with 3 overs to spare. A great win when it looked as if GPR would walk away with it, and 25 points in the bag!
