Match report Harlow Town won the toss and batted first on a dry and very worn wicket. Thuva and Rishin opened with economical spells, with Rishin's nagging accuracy eventually inducing a wild shot, resulting in an excellent running catch in the covers by Humzah. This brought in the Harlow captain who began a long, slow and stubborn partnership eventually, broken by Uncle Yaz clipping the leg stump in the first of his two economical spells. Some of our bowlers suffered from a strong and gusty wind so Rishin returned for a second attritional spell, this time removing the captain to end with outstanding figues for an Under 13 of 2 for 22 off 10 overs in difficult conditions.

With both sides losing one over following a first innings rain break, Fives had 39 overs on a steadily deteriorating wicket to secure the 20 points. A good start was essential and that was provided by Uriel, slow but suffering from a bad back, and Uncle Yaz who was timing the ball really well. They got us past 50 without loss as drinks approached. After two quick wickets fell, Awais took the attack to the opposition with 20 off 13 balls before perishing in a run-out mix-up. Uncle Yaz cruised serenely on while a couple of wickets fell cheaply before Thuva entered in his usual belligerent style, hitting three enormous sixes on his way to 29 off 15 balls and seeing us home with more than 5 overs to spare. All this was made possible by Man of the Match Uncle Yaz who carried his bat for 78* following his 2 for 30 from 14 overs.
