Match report F&H won the toss and elected to field first. After a solid 1st over from Mark Wheeler, Purleigh cruised along to 55 - 2 after 5 overs and looked set for a 100+ score. But a series of run outs ensued; a direct hit from Colin, 20 yards probably, and team manager Clive involved in 2 further run outs, Purleigh collapsed to 93 all out from 9.2 overs.

In reply F&H were 12-1 off 2 overs with Clive unlucky to be adjudged LBW. After 4 overs F&H were 34-2 with Neil also unlucky to be given out caught behind for 21. An impressive 3rd wicket partnership of 52 then followed between Colin and Steve in just under 5 overs. When Colin retired on 27 Mark came in to score the winning runs with 4 balls to spare.leaving Steve 24not out.

Next stop a semi final meeting with Basildon & Pitsea on Friday 9th January 2004 at 8pm
