Match report Two matches, two convincing wins. Mikey won the toss again and decided to take advantage of the damp wicket but inserting the opposition. South Woodford struggled from the off, limping to 132 all out in 41.2 overs. Abbas Mirza again bowled well though with little luck. Henry Pratt bowled with hostility early on, and Rob Allum and Hadder Bukhari bowled really well giving away little. Harry Allen picked up a couple after finally landing a few on the pitch, and Ian Goddard wrapped up the tail with four. Fives fielded reasonably well with Rohan Qureshi the stand-out fielder, though too many catches were dropped. On reflection we ought to have bowled South Woodford out for less in significantly less overs; only two three wickets were bowled.
As last week, Fives enjoyed their tea and quickly knocked off the required runs in next to no time. Qureshi again batted nicely as did Pratt. Goddard got overly excited and holed out to mid-wicket. Steve Adcock didn't mess about with quick singles instead hitting to the boundary at every opportunity.
Two good wins against 4th XIs. Tougher tests to come.
