Match report Despite the map showing that there was a pub in Willingale (a village so small the address of the club was "Village Green, The Street, Willingale" and it was as the address suggests!) we arrived to find that the pub had in fact closed 5 years ago! so much for up to date information on the World Wide web! so we made a quick about turn adn returned to Fyfield for our lunch. We made it to the ground in time and happily won the toss and got to bat first. Drawing the batting order out of a hat resulted in my opening bowler opening the batting and a misture of dogged defence and expansive swings saw Adam come within 14 runs of scoring fifties on both days this weekend. no-one really starred with the bat and some quick scoring towards the end saw Fives reach a slightly above par total. Willingale never lloked like getting too close after a very tight opening spell from Saul Foulds in which he could have picked up a number of wickets if only the high standard of catching displayed early on my James McKay had been maintained. In all six catches were dropped, three of them most uncharacteristically by Reggie and had we held even most of our chances we would have wrapped up the game with relative ease. Young Reece Hanna, a late and kitless call up, bowled an extremely good spell in which he should have had at least one wicket but it was most promising from a player so young! In the end there was not quite enough time to finish off the Willingale innings but it was an enjoyable day none-the-less.
