Match report The third team opened with numbers 1 and 3 from the 4th's facing Jack Jerrom and Roger B. Despite the small number of fielders runs came slowly against rusty bu improving bowling on a wet wicket. Both first change bowlers, James Sibley and Michael Knapton also bowled well with Michael getting the breakthrough thanks to a well judged Jack Jerrom catch. Kula and Haider both threatened violence and both fell to excellent catches off hard shots, one by Michael (his first in a match) from Kula's vicious pull shot, and a reflex C&B courtesy of Sooty's extended hand. In an attempt to feed the opposition a few runs a couple of comedy overs from the captain brought 8 runs, a dropped C&B followed next ball by a successful diving C&B. (Most were of the opinion that he fell over....) A good one from Uncle Yaz then ascounted for Franklin Jr playing his first adult game.

In an attempt to match speed running between the wickets, Uncle Yaz was paired with Sooty to open. Unfortunately the early season damp track soon accounted for Yaz but typical Carribean exuberance from Roger soon got the score ticking along. After he was expertly yorked by Kogulan (??? spelling) Rotsey soon followed yorked by Haider's surprise quick straight one. This brough Jack to the wicket and he quickly settlerd to play the innings of the day, increasing in confidence and power as he moved to an excellent 63. By this time Sooty had departed to an over-ambitious reverse sweep so the youngsters James and Michael were left with a tricky few runs to get against Faisal who was bowling well. Both kept their nerve and batted sensibly to secure the win.
