Match report In its first outing the Academy Team got away to a fine start on a slow pitch. Helped by Loughton starting with only 8 fielders, Vinay and Graham put on 102 for the first wicket. Unfortunately this was followed by a regular procession as batsmen failed to come to terms with accurate bowling on pitch keeping ever lower.

Following a winter bowling on relatively fast and bouncy indoor nets, the Academy opeing bowlers both pitched too short letting Loughton away to a flyer. The introduction of Shiv Dyal brought steadiness to the attack (after a first over spent adjusting the radar) and all the bowlers performed creditably.
