Match report Fives lost the toss and were asked to take the field. Stuart Chinaloy in his best spell of the season bowled really well to complement Shiren's left arm over and peg H & C back to a very slow scoring rate. The bowlers were rotated regularly and gradually worked their way through most of the batting before a declaration at 52 overs. The fielding was of a high standard with Ronnie holding two sharp catches at slip after his blistered feet forced Robbie to take over keeping duties. The best effort came from Alex and the skipper converging on a skier behind the bowler. After the skipper got half a hand to the ball, Alex dived full length to hold the ball inches from the turf - a great follow up to his two excellent catches the previous week.

Left with only 40 overs, the brothers Sadiq opened in contrasting styles. While Irfan carefully played himself in, Bilal hit powerfully to make 23 of the first 31. After a minor middle order collapse, Alex batted with more application than has sometimes been seen and saw us most of the way home before another basic error in running between the wickets gifted H & C thier third such victim. At this point Shiren came in to join his son and swiftly put the issue beyond doubt with a couple of well timed fours. A good win with two overs to spare.
