Match report Second game, second chase, second win!
Lost the toss, U's decided to bat. Great start by Roger and Waqas to reduce the oppo to 30 off for 4 in windy and overcast conditions, with the blowing changed around we lost some fluency and the batsman began to get on top. Rob Allum stepped up to stem the flow of runs and we finally restricted Upminster to a par score of 241 for 9. Catching was a lot better this week. We just need to learn to seize the initiative when we have it and give 1's to the stronger batsmen.
The chase again began with some standard lusty blows from Kula ably supported by Rob. Naveed and Hoops contributed to keep the run rate up to set up a close final 20 overs. Nagappan didn't fany it being a last over affiar and subsequently launched to massive 6s to get us to the target with 9 balls to spare. Getting there with a missed reverse sweep was classic end to a classy affair.
