Match report F & H won the toss and batted on a patchy school wicket getting away to a reasonable start with young James Edwards, opening for an adult team for the first time, making a good 30. Some wristy blows from Jag helped the scoring along but a middle order collapse reduced us to 80 for 5. Careful rebuilding by Shiv and Rishin restored some order before Samit guided the tail to a reasonable total. A steady start was made by Mikey (3 maidens in his first 5 overs) and Marshall, another debutant at adult level, but in the end South Woodford proved too strong with a couple of powerful hitters taking a heavy toll on some of the bowling.
