Match report Fives won the toss and batted on a hard but badly cracked wicket which misbehaved throughout the match. After Bilal's early departure, Irfan and Chris Bidewll put on 47 for the second wicket in good time but with a few frights. When Irfan copped a shooter, the two Chris's took the attack to Loughton's second team leg spinner putting on 93 before another shooter which came back over two feet along the ground did for Chris Bidwell. When a ball leapt from a length to glove the skipper the end came swiftly.

Early strikes by Arun and Faisal reduced Loughton to 6 for 2 and hopes of a famous victory were raised (despite only having 9 players including a 7 and an 11 year old.) A good stand was broken by 11 year old Ashish Gandhi who returned excellent figures of 1 for 5 from 4 overs as a reward for very accurate bowling. This brought in the second teamer who batted with great class and saw Loughton home by 5 wickets.
